Job description

The project manager will join the team to implement a strong project management function on behalf of our growing customer base. The job specification encompasses certain operational tasks, and as such is a dynamic role that offers plenty of opportunity for on-the-job diversification. The candidate ought to be capable of quickly understanding the environment in which we operate. There is a technical component to this role. The candidate will also be in direct contact with our customers so would need to demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • planning, managing and implementing the company’s fraud and revenue assurance software products.
  • managing scope, cost, schedules, and contractual deliverables, which include applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
  • managing all project resources, including partner organizations/subcontractors.
  • Establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and customers (weekly updates, meeting schedules, status reports).
  • providing day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to management.
  • working with customers to define product and system requirements for selected “module-level” concepts and supporting the commercial function.
  • creating and managing key project documentation (order forms, project schedules, CRs, reports…).
  • delivering training and/or product demos at client sites or remotely;
  • representing the company during customer visits and/or at industry events.

Experience

The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years’ experience in project management in a technology/IT environment. He/she will be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to prioritise and work according to strict deadlines in an international environment. The candidate should be a pro-active professional capable of chasing down and closing projects on time and within budget. The candidate should possess solid oral, written, presentation, interpersonal communication skills. Experience dealing with technical development personnel essential.

Experience in Agile development methodologies would be an advantage, e.g. SCRUM, XP.

He/she should also have a keen interest in the technology environment.

Mandatory requirements:

  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL
  • Good analytical capabilities
  • An ability to work within a team
  • An ability to work under occasional time pressure
  • Willingness to travel overseas if required
  • Fluency in English is a must, and other languages would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills
  • The following would be of considerable benefit:
  • Understanding of XML and ASN.1
  • Understanding of C and/or C++ programming
  • Experience with source control systems
  • Cloud or other SaaS systems knowledge  
  • Performance monitoring tools knowledge
  • Telecoms and/or Revenue Assurance knowledge would be an advantage
