Test-Call Generator (TCG) – XINTEC detects errors
The XINTEC Test-Call Generator solution combines both hardware and software to monitor and test any type of network, including mobile networks and fixed-line networks.
The main elements of the TCG solution are:
- Network hardware testing units – GSM units for 2G/3G testing, fixed-line units for analogue testing.
- System software – System controller to manage the automated calls; CDR importer to import the operator CDRs; rating module to rate the CDRs; matching algorithm to match the operator CDRs.
The XINTEC TCG solution provides myriad advantages including real-time testing for multiple voice and data services, allowing a timely analysis of results based on:

The system emulates a subscriber by generating controlled events on the operator’s network and then compares its recording of the event with the billing records. XINTEC imports the operator CDRs into its database once the test calls are completed. Call events are reconciled to confirm that CDRs have been created at the switch and all rated correctly.
The tests are fully automated and controlled by the CSP through a simple GUI, and no specialist programming skills are required by the operator. This design allows the TCG to be programmed quickly and easily to run a series of scheduled tests, or for ad-hoc testing. Results are obtained in a timely manner, and any additional testing can be done on the fly.
