XINTEC tools for in-house use

The main software components are:

• Roaming Call Detail Record (CDR) Collector:
  Scans and separates the operators roaming CDRs from domestic CDRs.
• Roaming CDR Splitter:
  Roaming CDRs can be split by visiting roaming partners and stored into high-speed CDR buffers reserved for each visiting operator.
• NRTRDE File Generator:
  For each visiting roaming partner NRTRDE files can be generated from the high-speed CDR buffers on a regular basis (e.g. every 5 minutes) to fulfil the NRTRDE requirements.
• NRTRDE File Dispatcher:
  NRTRDE files can be delivered to the operators roaming partners or data clearing house.
• Compact Fraud Detection and Management (FMSlite):
  Fraud can be analysed, detected and reported by this compact and high-performance system that directly accesses NRTRDE files and the high-speed CDR buffers.

Since NRTRDE requires very high performance and data throughput, the NRTRDE software components are designed to optimise data processing, memory allocation and process control and management. All batch routines are written in the programming language C (ANSI C standard), which is supported on all common UNIX platforms. The GUI desktop applications for process control/monitoring and fraud management are written in Java and run both on Windows and UNIX platforms.

The NRTRDE File Dispatcher is a flexibly configurable file transmission system supporting different data transmission protocols over the Internet, different data compression and encryption methods, and fulfilling all security requirements.

XINTEC NRTRDE also provides a number of useful tools for viewing, editing and converting NRTRDE and MSC data:

• NRTRDE Editor:
  This Java desktop tool can open multiple NRTRDE files to view, edit, search and validate CDRs (strictly based on TD.35 validation rules), both for analysis and test purposes.
• NRTRDE NRTRDE-XML Converter:
  This batch tool (also available in Java) converts NRTRDE data to XML and vice versa, and can be used to perform massive data retrieval and manipulation, using the advantages of XML technologies.
• NRTRDE Data Uploader:
  This batch tool (also available in Java) uploads NRTRDE data into an existing Fraud Management System or any Data Warehouse for GSM roaming.
• XINTEC™ MSC Printer:
  This batch tool will enable the contents of call detail records of all MSC formats currently supported by NRTRDE to be displayed in a plain text format (e.g. list, XML, CSV, etc.).
