PRS A fraudster will makes repeated phone calls to premium rate numbers (PRN) to induce a payment and generate revenue. Call Selling will see services sold at discount with no intention of paying the resulting bill. PRS frauds are often used in conjunction with roaming and subscription fraud.
Wangiri fraud One ring and cut. A computer using multiple phone lines to call mobile phones randomly. The call will appear as a missed call and it is hoped that the user will call back where they will be charged at a premium rate, or played an advertising message.
PBX (Private Branch Exchange) Fraud Fraudulent abuse of multiline systems through hacking or unauthorized use of PBX to dial international, premium numbers or re-route calls at little or no cost to the caller.
